Hello all! My apologies for being MIA – I have started grad school this fall… and reading has taken over my life. I’ll be taking a break from posting! But I thought I would share this great link my friend sent me about Anthropologie… (Anthro, I love you and your magical smelling candles that I can’t afford and your artful staging – but this is very funny).
“Here’s this gross fantasy they’ve created of an art student who can afford to spend thousands of dollars on a paint-splattered flea market find. It’s like all their customers are aspiring to be Charlotte in Tiny Furniture (a loft-dwelling trust fund dilettante).”
Soooo true, I know I would love to live in magical loft with velvet furniture covered with mixed upholestery and tiny dogs…

And we’re back! Please picture that in the Jimmy Fallon voice as seen here. I hope you all had a great summer! I’ve been busy boppin’ around New England, with some Cape Cod, Newport and Bostonian adventures.
And in honor of saying goodbye to summer – I wanted to post somethings I also said good bye to – from my former dining/desk area to now sexy lounge room.
Here is the before from about 5 months ago: It was a little messy looking, a lot of curtain for one room, and overall just a little ‘Mehh…” and now for the make over reveal…
TADA! Painted – stenciled – restyled and ready to drink wine and listen to albums in. Also since I took these photos, I went on a little vintage venture with my friend to this great spot in Davis Square. And added some the vintage art to the wall above my sexy red chair: I also picked up a couple of brass cranes and a crazy lady planter (Cranes pictured in gram). I hope you all had a beautiful interior designed-hoarding of vintage bric-a-brac summer! And one last thing – Brimfield (bitches) is next week!
Put a bird pineapple on it – I’m calling it guys – pineapples are now trending. As I mentioned before – I caught the ‘Pineapples-are-so-cute-Everything-I-buy-should-be-pinapple-related’ disease in this post. Check out these pineapple pins decor that is confirming the trend.
I really love those Brass Pineapples – but looking at them on Etsy, they are a little pricy, ranging from $90 – 189! But I found this cute trivet for $13
And this … FREE DIY pineapple wrapping paper from Whismeybox (you could frame it, or print it on larger paper and use it as shelf lining, things could get wild). Click here for PDF. Also little Pineapple updated in my own home – here is where my brass beauties are rocking now.
One of my favorite things to do is obviously buy items for my home. But after my Brimfield trip – I need to cool it for awhile, so instead I made an Etsy treasury list so all of you can buy cool vintage items for your own homes… Check it out! (click the picture for full list).
I think my favorite item has got to be the ‘swiss army blankets’ for $56 that seems like a pretty good deal!
Brimfield was awesome – sun’s out guns antiques out! This year my Mom, Sister and broski-in-law took on the Brimfield traditions…
1. Drive to Brimfield and eat McDonalds, (its what the antiques want).
2. Go to parking lot – give the parking guy with the amazing pony tail $5 – treat your Mom to parking because you’re a baller and actually have $5 in your wallet.
3. Start at the white tent that always has those purple glass bottles
4. Grab a lemonade and a huge-ass cookie when you’re feeling cranky towards the center of the fields.
5. Buy the coolest stuff you can find!
6. Then on the way home, drive to small grocery store and buy their amazing cupcakes and eat them like you’ve never seen food before (although this year we missed out on the cupcakes – we will just have to eat more in July)!!
Want to see more? Check out the #brimfield on instagram – amazing stuff people found! I’ll share more on what I found later!
